Silence. She was sitting on her bed, enjoying the silence that surrounded her. No voices, no faces, nothing. With the sun shining brightly, it was normal for all the students to spend outside playing games. Or better yet, stay between the cool walls of the castle. In that very moment, Vivienne did not feel that good and was not in the mood to be surrounded by ecstatic faces and lousy laughs. Just the thought made her dizzy. She’s always been very sensitive when it came to noise. Thus she was left to doze off in her dorm room, after lots of tries to read books or draw something good. But she could not focus, reading over and over the same sentence or drawing something really ridiculous. Vivienne lazily opened her eyelids, scanning the four poster bed and after that, the lonely room.
No, not all was true. She was not alone. Near the window, on the ledge was stretching a cat. It was not her cat, but her roommate’s. Vivienne always loved cats, but did not fancy taking care of one. But since she lives with her roommate, she became accustomed to feeding her and changing her sandbox. Vivienne got up, throwing her legs over the bed and called the cat, tapping her fingers on the sheets to make her come over. The cat stretched one more time and hoped off, jumping over in her bed. She nuzzled her head and her nose on Vivienne’s arms and neck and the girl responded by stroking the cat’s fur, messing it atop of her head. Pushing off the cat, Vivienne went to the bathroom and wiped her face with cold, icy water. She wondered how the cat managed the heat with that dense fur of hers. She definitely did not want to be a cat in another life, not someplace where the summers were so hot.
“Ughh, I can’t stay here anymore” she thought and stripped her pj’s and dressed herself in a summer dress with straps, which came to her knees. The dress’ color was dark blue and Vivienne loved that color. Brushing her hair, she petted the cat on the head once more, ruffling her fur again. To her Vivienne’s amusement, that annoyed her. Shrugging off, Vivienne got her bag with papers and pencils and exited the dorm room. In the common room there were many shuffling and laughs and if she did not passed by quickly, she would’ve got a headache. And a headache would make her moody. Either way, she continued her way to the entrance of the castle and further, to the Black Lake. The halls made her shiver a little, but only for a short time because at once she found herself under the bright, strong sun.
Outside were pretty many students. Some were practicing flying with their brooms, other were grouped under the shadows and taking picnics. Vivienne headed to the farthest spot she found free, under a big tree, near the Forbidden Forest. She dropped her bag there and took her shoes off. Making her way to the water, stepping barefoot on the fresh grass made her giggle. For a moment she preferred to just watch the surface of the water and the slow-motion-like waves. Humming smoothly, she raised a leg over the edge of the lake and slowly put it in the water. After playing a little, she sat down put her other leg in the water too. She stretched over to her bag and took out a sketch book and a pencil, starting to draw random sceneries and even the students.
She did not remember when she fell asleep, but now she was waked up by the dribble of the rain. She got up on her bones and looked up to the sky with starry eyes. The students that were around her moments ago, all vanished inside the castle. Around her were her papers with drawings, scattered in the grass. The rain was pouring harder and harder and Vivienne hurried up to pick up the papers. The drawing soon started to melt down. She could save a few, but the most of them were ruined. Hurrying under the trees, she started to put on her shoes, watching how it was raining cats and dogs. She had to admit, the smell emanated by the grass and leaves washed by the rain was mesmerizing and the heat from before was going away. Vivienne succeed to put on one of her shoes, but she did not have any time to put the other, hearing a crackling somewhere near her. Shivering, she glanced over to who might have been.

Audrey Malfoy was lazing about. The beautiful summer rays called to her, as did the prospect of company. She didn't really enjoy being alone as she was at the moment. She glanced at her shoes looking for a pair that would go with her pale green and buttercup yellow sundress. She slipped her white flats onto her feet and ran a hand through her white blond hair. Sighing she picked up the letter she had written to her father earlier that day and gave it to her owl Machiavelli to take home.
Slipping out of the quiet library she realized she hadn't got even a little studying done despite having been in the library for hours. It was unusual for her, but she was restless. She hadn't really seen many people around lately and was missing human interaction. Sure, she could go without it, but she felt so much more fulfilled when she had people to talk to. She searched the castle for awhile, but ran into absolutely no one. She never recalled being so lonely. She couldn't even go find Scorpius to tease him since he was still at home having become sick recently.
'There's got to be someone, somewhere' she thought to herself frustrated. Finally she opened the main doors sunlight streaming into her eyes much to her chagrin. There were clouds on the horizon, but Audrey didn't worry about those, they would probably pass. She poked around the grounds for a bit keeping an eye on the clouds which seemed to be becoming more ominous. Finally she approached the lake. The sun had completely disappeared and it had began to drizzle, but Audrey didn't really mind. Her white blond hair was wet and was sticking together in clumps. Definitely not her best look, but not a real problem.
Suddenly she noticed the rain was coming down harder and she rubbed her arms in an attempt to warm herself. It was at that moment that she noticed that there was a girl down by the lake and it appeared her papers were scattered around her. Audrey hoped it wasn't anything too important they didn't particularly look salvageable. Approaching the girl Audrey noticed that she was quite obviously an older student and that she had not been noticed as yet. A couple of loose branches snapped under her feet as she walked towards the girl. She almost slipped in the now wet muddy ground, but stopped herself just in time.
"Hey," Audrey called to the girl not knowing if she had been seen yet, "Do you need any help?" Audrey was drenched her hair stringy and her skin covered in goosebumps and didn't know if the girl would even want her help, but it was worth offering. Audrey noticed one of the papers by her shoe and glanced at it. Whatever it had originally been it was helplessly smudged now, but maybe there was a charm for that that the other girl knew. She tired to pick the paper up, but it was too wet and tore in her hands. "Sorry" she shouted to the girl, "I didn't mean to. We should probably go somewhere dry."

Heavy drops were sliding down from her raveled hair, down her neck. Even her eyelashes had small drops on them. Vivienne looked at the blonde girl. She was dripping wet too, maybe more than her. Wondering what she was doing there, she continued to put on her other shoe. The shoe was wet already, but it did not matter anymore. Her knees and ankles were a little green from grass her head light because she waked up so abruptly. Her skin got a sun-touched scent and her hair a tint of woods.
“Hey,” the girl called and Vivienne looked up to her. “Do you need any help?” Wondering how her sketch-book could tear like that, she nodded to the girl. Feeling a little ashamed, she put the files that could be saved inside her bag. She thought of a spell, she remembered one for shredded papers, but not for what she needed. The sketches were not very important, but she made a mental note to do some research about it.
“Sorry” the girl shouted, making Vivienne look at her. “I didn’t mean to.” the girl continued and Vivienne spotted one of her papers in her hands. She approached the girl and smiled softly, despite the uncomfortable dampness she was sinking. “We should probably go somewhere dry.” Vivienne nodded but did not move.
“It’s just a summer rain. It should stop any minute now” said Vivienne and indicated a big tree which was good to hide under it, instead of going all the way back to the castle. Going back would mean getting even wetter. Summer rains are fast, with big drops, but they end very quickly. And so will this. She always loved this kind of rain because it always made her feel fresh and light; on the other hand, the other rains make her feel like she has a weight on her shoulders and sigh very much.
Under the tree, Vivienne got a lock of hair beyond of her ear and looked up at the sky. The rain already started to cease, becoming just a small drizzle. She turned back to look at the girl and noticed she was younger. “Don’t worry about that” she said, mentioning the paper that tore in her hands. “It was nothing important, just some sketches. I’m sorry, though, about the waste of paper. Poor trees.” she smiled and looked at the lake, taking in the scenery. She’d thought that it would’ve been nice to photograph the lake like that and the part of the castle that was visible. The sun pierced again the rain clouds and after that, between the branches of the tree the two were under. The rain did not fully stop, though. “I’m Vivienne” she smiled, returning her gaze to the girl. “Thank you, anyway, for your help” she added, giggling.

"It's just a summer rain. It should stop any minute now" Audrey heard the girl say as she motioned to a large tree they could wait the rain out under. Audrey nodded her agreement and followed the girl to the dry spot. Once they arrived she raised a hand to her hair wringing it out slightly and pushing it behind her ears. Silver eyes watched as the rain began to fade.
"Don't worry about that" the older girl told her obviously referring to the ruined paper Audrey still held, "It was nothing important, just some sketches. I'm sorry, though, about the waste of paper. Poor trees" the girl continued. Audrey was surprised to hear it, but the older girl was obviously some sort of environmentalist. Audrey stared out at the lake attempting to figure out how to respond to a comment of that nature. The rain was almost gone now, but yet not completely. The clouds had broken though and the sun was piercing through once more.
"I'm Vivienne" the older girl said distracting Audrey from her previous thoughts. "Thank you anyway, for your help" Vivienne said giggling a bit.
Audrey smiled, "I'm Audrey" she said, "And I didn't actually do much, but your welcome anyway." Despite herself Audrey giggled a bit as well. The rain had faded to a slight mist at this point and the clouds were still drifting away from the school. "I think this is as good a time as any" Audrey said motioning towards the open area they had come from, "Did you want to go clean up the papers? We probably shouldn't just leave them on the grounds." Audrey had to admit she felt a little proud of this comment. If it had been her own unimportant papers she likely would have left them for someone else to clean up, but seeing as they weren't her own she figured it was a good comment to make.
Stepping out into the warm, but damp air she wondered if they would see a rainbow. She stood waiting for Vivienne's answer since she hadn't been turned away yet.

"I'm Audrey" said the blonde girl and Vivienne gave a small nod. She always loved this name, being a big fan of the famous muggle actress. But kept this as a secret, because she wouldn’t want her family judge her because she admired a muggle. They could even laugh at her, and Vivienne did not want this, she had a mask and reputation to keep.
"Did you want to go clean up the papers? We probably shouldn't just leave them on the grounds." Nodding, Vivienne followed Audrey with her gaze as she stepped out into the warm air, thinking it was very nice of her to help. Other younger student would probably act like a brat and did not even bother with this kind of thoughts. She stepped after Audrey, her legs sinking slightly in the muddy grass. Cursing under her breath, Vivienne wished this will be over quickly, because it’s not at all pleasant to have your feet soak.
“Hmm, you’re right.” With this being said, Vivienne looked around her. There weren’t many papers left, which was a good thing, she thought. She picked up one with a drawing of the castle, which was only half damaged. The drawing looked really good, but was half muddy and this made Vivienne sigh. But shrugging off, she gathered them in a pile. Putting them in her bag would mean making it dirty.
She straightened her back and looked successfully around, not spotting any other paper. Audrey had her part, too. Just then she really acknowledged the way the both of them looked and this made her laugh lightly. “Gosh, we look like stray cats” she joked and smiled, hoping Audrey would not mind. After all, she said this in a good way.
“What were you doing here, anyway? I hope I did not hold you back from anything”

Audrey smiled when Vivienne nodded her assent. Slipping a bit in the muddy ground she got her first glimpse of her now ruined flats and sighed slightly. She knew of the existence of cleaning charms, but also knew that she wouldn't learn those until she was older, not to mention the fact that she was not very good at charms to begin with. She scooped up a still wet piece of paper and tried to make out what was in the drawing. She thought it might have been a portrait of someone, but couldn't be sure.
Picking up the last piece of paper she could see Audrey stood. "Gosh, we look like stray cats" she heard Vivienne comment and Audrey looked down at herself. Shoes were not only ruined, but there was mud on her ankles as well, her dress was drenched and stuck to her pale skin. She didn't really know what her hair looked like, but she could imagine it didn't look pretty. She certainly didn't look much like the perfectionist Malfoy she had been raised as. She laughed a bit, "I suppose we don't exactly look our bests at this point do we" she admitted.
"What were you doing here, anyway? I hope I did not hold you back from anything" the elder girl said. Audrey shook her head gazing at the older girl. "I was just going for a stroll hoping to find someone to talk to" Audrey admitted, "Everywhere seemed barren no one around." Audrey blushed a little feeling embarrassed after admitting all this, but she knew the other girl wasn't a Slytherin (she would have recognized her) and so would likely not use it against her.
"How did you come to get caught in the rain. I would have thought you would have headed up to the castle when it started" Audrey admitted, "I'm not holding you back am I?" Audrey glanced around her eyes moving from one scene to the next rapidly as she triend to figure out what to do with Vivienne's ruined sketches. "Um, do you want these back by the way" Audrey asked, "I'm not sure, but maybe there's something you could do to restore them."
