"No." Jacob shook his head. "I'm exactly right for you, Bella. It would have been effortless for us - comfortable, easy as breathing. I was the natural path your life would have taken...." he stared into space for a moment, and I waited. "If the world was the way it was supposed to be, if there were no monsters and no magic..."

Jake was right when he said that he was the natural path for Bella. If it hadn't
been for Edward, and the vampires, werewolves, and all of the other
supernatural things working in the world, she and Jacob would have been the
obvious couple in their world. They would have grown up, gotten married, had
children. Grown old, and eventually, they would have died together. But that
wasn't the path that was meant to happen. Or was it?
The Cullens used to live in Forks, a long time ago. A time that only the old men on
La Push remember, and pass down stories, stories that everyone passes as
legends. It's been a year since Bella Swan moved to Forks, allowing her mother to
move with Phil. During that year, she has been through what an average teen
would have been through. She went to the prom, and survived the summer. She
has gotten hurt, and broken her wrist. She has fallen in love, and luckily enough,
that boy fell right back for her. Bella Swan and Jacob Black have been dating for
six months now, something usually unheard of in this small town. They seem
totally smitten for one another, anyone can see that. Not only does her father,
Charlie, accept this relationship, he is happy that Bella found someone as nice as
Jacob. Everything seemed like it would be perfect.
Living in Alaska with the Denali clan, it's time for the Cullens to move. They have
spent too much time here, and, unlike Tanya and her clan, they don't feel that it is
safe enough to stay any longer. Out of everywhere they have lived, they can
only think of one town with enough shade, and enough time between visits, that
they could go back to: Forks, Washington. Bringing the whole group, they'll be
leaving soon to restart their life, a life that has grown very repeatative,
comfortable...and boring, for a lot of the Cullens. If only they knew what was
awaiting them in the small-town they left behind. Once they arrive, it becomes
apparent that the youngest, and in many's opinion, and most good looking Cullen
has fallen for the Swan girl. Most either laugh it off, or feel sorry for Edward -
Bella wouldn't leave Jacob for him.
Little does everyone know, though, that she isn't completely oblivious to this
young man's charm either. Finding herself drawn closer and closer to this
unreachable creature, she starts to slip from the path she loves. The distance
put between her and Jacob in the process could very well break them apart. Will
he fight for her love, to keep her close? Or will she already be too far away for
him to grab onto? And what is with the stream of new appearences? It seems
that when the Cullens moved, it brough forth a whole knew world, one that the
humans don't know exist. With the Nomad's making their way closer, a spy from
the Volturri, and the Wolf Gene starting to trigger on La Push, the little town of
Forks is about to change - in a big way.
Open to many plot ideas, since this is AU
