x x Maybe if my heart stops beating It won't hurt this much And never will I have to answer again to anyone...----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nalean leaned back in the comfy chair she was sitting in and sighed. She opened her eyes and slowly took in all the details of the Gryffindor commonroom. She let out another sigh. According to all logic she should not be in this commonroom. According to logic she should currently be sitting in the Slytherin commonroom. She was the first Silverstar to have ever been sorted into Gryffindor. According to her father this made her a family disappointment. Nalean wondered if her father would have had the same reaction if she had been sorted into Ravenclaw, afterall her mother, her aunt and her Grandmother had all been Ravenclaws.
She let out another sigh and stood up. She stretched and looked around the commonroom. Most of the students that were currently in the commonroom were either reading, working on homework or talking quietly to each other. She decided to go outside to the lake. She exited the commonroom through the potrait hole and headed for the lake. As she walked she let her Gryffindor robes billow out behind her.
Nalean took in a deep breath as she reached a tree that was bordering the shore of the lake and let out a sigh of contentment. She sat under the tree, kicked off her shoes and watched the lake lazily for a few minutes. After about ten minutes Nalean was almost fast asleep when there was the sound of footprints. She awoke with a small jump and turned around to see who had joined her at the edge of the lake. Word count: 259 Tags: Open Outfit: Clothes Other: COOKIES!

----------------------------------------------------------- Nickole looked around the common room and sighed. It was stuffy in here and there was no way she was going to be able to sit her any longer. Finally realizing she had just read the same line in the book four times she threw it down in disgust. No use ruining a good book, she figured as she rose out of her seat on the floor. As she stood she stumbled and realized that one of her legs had gone asleep. She knew that the only way to make the tingling numbness go away was to walk it out, so she made her way unsteadily towards the common room exit.
The corridors were empty as Nickole slowly made her out of the castle. When she threw open the doors to go outside she looked around and quickly she decided that she might as well head towards the lake. As she reached the top of the hill that looked out over the lake she stopped and looked around; making sure no one else was there and when she finally reassured herself that she was indeed alone; she threw herself down the hill rolling over and over her Ravenclaw robes flying around her as she went. When she finally came to a stop she opened her eyes and looked up expecting to see only the sky. But what she saw made her burst out in tinkering laugh. She lay a few feet away from a Gryffindor, a 6th year if she recalled right.
Once she had caught her breath she grinned and stood up shacking the dirt and wrinkles out of her robes sighting. "Another pair ruined! Thats the fifth set now." she said looking down at the grass stains that could now be seen at the elbows and knees of her robes. Finally she turning her attention to the girl and walked over to her. From the way she jumped it seemed like she had been sleeping. "Sorry about that. I didn’t relize anyone else was here. And I defiantly didn’t’ realize that you were sleeping. Didn’t mean to startle you. By the way I'm Nickole Wood. And you are?" she said as she flopped back down in the grass rubbing at the grass stains. She hoped the girl didn’t mind company because she didn’t really want to get back up now that she had sat down again.

x x Maybe if my heart stops beating It won't hurt this much And never will I have to answer again to anyone...----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nalean let a small smile slip to her lips when she saw that the person who had awoken her was a Ravenclaw sixth year. Before the other girl saw her small smile she chanced her expression change to one of irritation. "What the hell!" she exclaimed and bit the inside of her mouth to stop herself from smiling when she saw that the girl's robes had grass stains on both her elbows and her knees. She listened to the girl apologise for waking her. "Hi Nicole, I'm Nalean Silverstar, so do you often trip or is this an isolated incident?" she asked teasing the girl lightly and indicated towards the grass stains on Nicole's robes.
She then let a smile slip to her lips again. "And don't worry about waking me, I was only sleeping because I was bored out of my mind and couldn't think of anything else to do that was as stimulating" she said. She wondered what Nicole was doing out by the lake. "So what are you doing out here, I heard that most Ravenclaws spend their free time in the library doing extra credit work or are you a rebel Ravenclaw?" she asked Nicole teasing her lightly again. She grinned again and leaned back on her elbows waiting for Nicole to respond. She liked this girl, she hoped she had a good sense of humour. ----------------------------------------------------------- "Pleasure to meet you Nalean." she said smiling as the words slipped from her mouth. The name was different but as it passed her lips it sort of just seemed right, and automatically she liked the girl. She had always been like that. Just by knowing someone's name she could tell if she was going to like the person, she wouldn't count it as a magical ability, but more of a judge of character.
She scrubbed absentmindedly at the grass stains as she though about the weird ability. Then realizing that she had let a silence be drawn she laughed and quickly brought her thoughts back down to earth. "If you must know I didn't actually trip at all." she said blushing at being caught. "I just usually save my insanity moments till I am alone. You see I've always wanted to roll down that hill and today sounded like as good as any so I did just that. Of course I didn't stop to think that it was going to ruin my robes." she said grinning. "My parents are going to kill me for this one. This is the fifth pair I've ruined."
"And to answer your question I'm most defiantly not a Rebel Ravenclaw, I'm just an exception to the rule." she said tilting her chin up before rolling her eye's a smirking. "Me and libraries just don't go together actually. Not that I don't like reading I'm just a bit accident prone. And bookcases are like one of the biggest accidents waiting to happen. My luck I'd topple them all over and I'd like to avoid that as much as possible." she said grimacing at the though of what the librarian would do to her also.
Then grinning and teasing right back she said, "But I could as you the same thing you know. Shouldn't you be out looking for some brave new adventure or are you a rebel Gryffindor?" She leaned back relaxed for the first time all week as she looked at the sky waiting for the girls answer. It was weird that just talking to another human being could make her feel as if she had just won the lottery but it did, and now she was glad she had decided to come out to the lake.

x x Maybe if my heart stops beating It won't hurt this much And never will I have to answer again to anyone...----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nalean laughed and shook her head when Nicole said that she hadn't tripped. "You're joking right?" she said laughing. "You must be the first person I have met who has said that they willing want to roll down that hill" she carried on laughing. She forced herself to stop laughing before she caused herself to get a stitch from laughing so hard. "I'm sure your parents won't kill you, they'll probably lecture you about being responsible and all that nonsense, buy you new robes and forget about the whole incident, or they'll one day be telling your kids how you managed to ruin five sets of robes within one year and your kids won't be able to believe how reckless you once were, but that's only if you have kids" she frowned slightly and a thoughtful look came to her face. She then shook her head. "Nah I'm just being totally random" she said.
She shrugged her shoulders when Nicole said that she wasn't a rebel Ravenclaw just an exception to the rule. "Meh, rebel, exception what's the diffirence between the two?" she asked. "You want to avoid providing the only worthwhile entertainment that the library has seen since the beginning of its existance? But where's the fun in that?" she asked looking disappointed. "I'll help you in toppling all the bookshelves if that makes you feel better" she offered.
Nalean laughed again as Nicole teased her back. "Well most Gryffindors don't need to go looking for trouble or adventure, they usually come looking for us. Besides I'm just a rebel, not a rebel Gryffindor. Rebelling against your own house seems illogical and adventure seems to be currently lacking around the school" she said with a sigh. "All my housemates are also currently being boring, most of them just go and sit in the commonroom being busy doing nothing" she said looking at Nicole.
