Nalean is full of anger at what happened to her family and constantly blames herself for what happened. She used to be friendly but now has a cold streak in her personality due to what she has gone through. Nalean is considered very stubborn by those around her as she rarely does something she does not want to do. She also refuses to give up even if the situation appears hopeless, unfortunately this ability can also be dangerous to Nalean and those around her. She could be loyal, but she is also very wary of people she does not know or trust. She daydreams often and has a love for animals. She hates small spaces and refuses to be confined. She loves wide open spaces. Although Nalean can be friendly, she can also be brutally honest and sometimes get so brutal in her honesty that those around her will stare at her in disbelief as she is usually pretty friendly to those she trusts.

Nalean is highly opiniated and will stand up for herself if she feels someone is trying to undermine her beliefs, unfortunately she does sometimes get into trouble with the professors because of this. She can be a hard-worker when she needs to be but also tends to procrastinate. Her motto is: Hard-work might pay off later, but laziness pays off right now! She has a good sense of humour and tries to laugh as often as possible. Nalean has a love of learning new things, thankfully she is also a quick learner. Her love of learning also causes her to have a love of reading. Although she mainly reads factual non-fiction books Nalean also loves reading Fantasy books such as Lord of the Rings.

detailed history

Nalean Silverstar was born in Oxford, England. She was the youngest of three children, and Raven and Isabella’s only daughter. Her relationship with her mother was an extremely close relationship, but her relationship with her father was another story. She never got on with her father and older brothers.

Growing up Nalean spent most of her time with her mother and her mother taught her values that she had never been able to teach her sons. In truth Nalean’s mother regretted marrying Raven due to the way he treated his children and those he considered beneath him. Nalean’s father was mainly absent during her early childhood as he would often go on ‘business trips’ that would keep him away for weeks on end.

When Nalean’s magical powers began to appear her father made it clear that his daughter must follow the family tradition and be sorted into Slytherin once she got into Hogwarts. Nalean’s mother however took a different stance and often told her daughter that it did not matter what house she was sorted into. Nalean being closer to her mother listened to her mother and ignored her father. Nalean and her mother travelled together to Diagon Alley to get her school supplies and that day spent at Diagon Alley was Nalean and her mother’s last full day spent together. A few days after the shopping trip, Nalean’s mother died of mysterious causes. Her mother’s death was a huge blow to Nalean and to this day she blames herself for her mother’s death.

Nalean’s start at Hogwarts was a relatively shaky one, partly because of the lose of her mother and partly because of her father. Nalean was sorted into Gryffindor which infuriated her father. During her first term he would constantly send letters to the school complaining to the school that his daughter had been sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin. After the first term however her father stopped sending complaints, which was a huge relief to both Nalean and her professors.

After her first term Nalean was able to settle down and get used to life in Hogwarts. She was soon performing relatively well in all her subjects. Nalean has fallen in love with the castle and sees Hogwarts as a second home. Although she has now recovered from her mother's death, she still is scarred and the event left her mistrusting of other people.

Nalean grinned at Ligasto as he joked about his rare condition. When he mentioned that he was just joking about having a rare condition Nalean stared at him with mock horror "No really. I thought you were serious about having a rare condition" She said her voice dripping in sarcasm and rolled her eyes. "Don't worry I'm not that stupid, I might do stupid things sometimes but that does not make me stupid" she said smiling. She stared at Ligasto when he started to ramble on. "Umm.. huh?" was her response to his random statement.

"Trust me I grew up around Slytherins, and I have only met two Slytherins that are actually pretty decent" She said and looked at the lake. "History mentions a couple of half-bloods that were Slytherins. I mean both Voldemort and Severus Snape were in Slytherin and the one was a dark lord while the other one worked as a spy and played an important role in over throwing Voldemort" she pointed out.

Nalean just shook her head when Ligasto said he wanted to be a prefect for the learning experience. "I hear babysitting is also a learning experience, and unlike being a prefect you get payed to watch over the kids" she said still shaking her head. "I just can't see myself as a prefect, I mean you have to tell students off for not following the rules and patrol the corridors after curfew. It just sounds like you're a babysitter who doesn't get payed." she said with a shrug.

Nalean watched Ligasto blush as he asked her a question and felt a little sorry for him. He must be embarassed about asking a question like that she thought to herself. "No my older brothers graduated two years ago and as far as I know there's no other family, and I don't have a boyfriend" she said. "Salads? wait that's food not a hobbie" she said and burst out laughing. "You suffer from randomness as well it seems" she joked.
