Janey was like a
If you managed to get past the iron clad shield on Janey you were pretty much safe. But that wasn’t an easy task; many have tried, few have succeeded. If the family label wasn’t enough she was simply a Slytherin. Janey was moody, manipulative, greedy, conniving, and well as mean as a viper. If you were lucky enough to get into her little circle, you seen a much different Janey. She could almost be nice, almost. She really had a hard time showing her affection for others. There really wasn’t any people she felt comfortable letting people in.
Janey could be a little ice queen. She would put people down when she wanted to and didn’t think twice about it. She knew growing up that she was a pureblood, and well they were better. Either that or they had the money to get what they wanted. With money and power came attitude and nothing could stop that. A leopard can’t change it’s spots and the rich can’t stop being arrogant.
Sometimes her sarcastic whit would come off as mean and hurtful. Yes, Janey was a jerk and she knew it. She never asked people to like her and really didn’t care. She knew that she would get along fine in this world. Again being raised in certain type of household, you don’t get much of an outlook on life. One talent that Janey loved was her ability to bat her pretty little eye lashes or stick out her bottom lip and she got what ever she wanted. I mean every thing her
Now that is more the exterior of Janey’s multilayered personality. She thinks she is a tough girl who doesn’t need anyone body. But that is never the whole story. Every body needs some body. It’s just the way it goes, and it was no different for Janey. She just had a hard time getting that out. When emotions were a weakness it was better to be cold and hurtful. You tend to bury the real emotions deep in a locked away chest. Then you wait and long to let it be known.
In truth Janey is a fierce friend, strongly passionate, and loves to be loved. Only you would never get that out of her. Fear pushed it away and it was going to take something strong to get it back out where it belongs. She wanted for there to be a day when she didn’t fear to love somebody, for to love was to give them something and just what if they took it away.
FATHER: Sir Martin Wilcox
Janey Wilcox was born and spent most of her life in Paris France. She lived there with her mother, father and until she turned fifteen her loving brother. She was born on a very cold day in February, there was a heavy downfall of snow and it was a rather dreary day. She had been a little fireball since the first day she opened her eyes. Always causing some sort of fuss and she always demanded her father’s attention. And when he wasn’t there in her later years of her childhood her brother was. In the early years Christian had been a big part of her life but she learned later on that she had been naive. It seemed that her brother had been working to put her father away and had tried to turn the family into the authorities. It was well known that the Wilcox family held up the old ways and were all trained in the dark arts. It was unfortunate that Christian’s evidence ‘fell’ threw and he was banished off. That was when she was fifteen and she hadn’t heard nor seen him since that day. It had always left a mark on Janey, it almost made her more cold and stoic.
In her years at Hogwarts she had been placed into Slytherin and she was well liked. The girl was popular and very sociable. Obviously she was only friends with those that her parents had approved off. The best of the best as her father had put it. Even in those days there was rumors going around about her family. Janey ignored them but obviously her snide attitude only fueled those rumors. In school she always managed to do well academically even though she wasn’t the most studious person. She considered herself a fast learned and more of a self study person. In fact it wasn’t until she had finished school that she finally blossomed. Fore in school she had no idea what her future held. Janey had always assumed that she would be another pureblooded socialite. And she was for a short time. But even this young woman learned that parties, sex and alcohol doesn’t fire the soul. It didn’t take many years and she was yearning for more. Something to give her meaning.
Thinking back in her school years she knew that the plants had always held more of a interest to her. It was slim margin between the other subjects but she hoped that she could move along with it. Well it was that and the dark arts. But Janey had always kept that well under wraps. There were a few close friends that knew how involved she was but not many people knew. Janey had always been rather deceitful and had managed to sneak her way through the cracks. And since then she had always held it from the world not out of fear but ignorance. She didn’t want to seem like some other power hungry young witch who just wanted more. Because Janey didn’t just want more she wanted it all. All she could get her fingers on. Which was how she had managed to get in with the death eaters but she wasn’t in the inner circle. It had never bothered her though she was still stronger than a lot of them.
Janey had studied plants for three years before she had applied at Hogwarts. Why she wanted to go back there she hadn’t the foggiest but she wanted it. After all she had traveled most of the world in search of the most exotic plants. So she had been waiting to know where her future would go. If it fell through she knew that there was always her old life. The one where she had drank away almost every weekend and promiscuity had run wild. It seemed that she wanted to get out of her younger twenties and grow up. Janey was simply tired of being that girl. The rich girl who could do whatever she wanted. It always came down to she wanted more than what her life was giving her.
ALIAS: Quencey
Some days, like tonight, it was like she didn’t have that horrible past of her parents hanging over her. It had been hard, being compared to them even now after they had been gone. It was like people expected her to screw up and show that she was just like them. Audrey couldn’t lie to herself; there was a time when she thought that it was the right thing to do. But with a serious kick in the ass she knew that it wouldn’t help her in anyway. It was just as simple that Audrey wasn’t anything like Bellatrix. They were polar opposites in every aspect. It could be argued that Audrey had that dark look and past but she never looked into it. It had taken so many years but she was on the verge of proving people wrong. She was her own person and she was going to keep on going that way. It was exhilarating; showing people that they were wrong. That Audrey Lestrange wasn’t going to be that girl. The one that everyone feared and hated; maybe she would be the light that had been covered in darkness.
“Yes, really it’s not that hard to believe is it” Addy asked while having a slight chuckle. It was true that Audrey didn’t get out often but when she did, she tried to make the best of it. Being who she was it was a rare piece of gold when she wasn’t recognized. It was like a chance to be someone new and experience something new. It was those moments that made Audrey really feel as though she was alive. Also; someone like the young man before her would actually be good for her. It had taken a moment before she had realized that. But it was true; she hadn’t found herself this relaxed in a long time. Which also came; she was letting her guard down which was something she defiantly didn’t do. That was locked up and barred high; but it was slowly coming down. That was questioning to Audrey; why now and why him. That would be answered later. “Oh, boy do I know that feeling. Funny isn’t it” Addy asked referring to the fact that they felt the same way. That both found it hard to just relax and now it almost came easily.
Oh, Audrey didn’t know why she had entered the bar tonight but a part was happy she had. There wasn’t many times she could go out and randomly meet someone. Although she wished deeply that she didn’t have to reveal her name. The surname was like a burden that was weighing to heavily on Addy. For to long she had been in fear; of what others thought of her. They easily passed judgement on her before they knew her. It had been all over Sirius’s face when she told him. That secret which when she could; she kept locked away in her heart. It was those reactions which made her want to curl up in a ball and die. Why did she have to have such malicious parents? Why couldn’t they - god forbid- be normal. No off course not; her mother had to be the right hand of the late dark lord and her father was no better. No wonder people reacted the way they did. If she met the ‘spawn’ of the Lestrange family she would recoil to. Probably then she would run.
Then again; he had surprised her. Even though he had thought of going off he had returned. If Addy wasn’t in such a sunken mood she would think it was insane. Or rather she still did. The impact her family had on his was astronomical. A small smile really wanted to envelop her lips when he didn’t recoil back fully but it was trapped. Trapped by astonishment. After all why wouldn’t he run. She wasn’t necessary the best person for him to be friends with, did he not see the pain she thought she caused him even now. It had only been moments but it cut Audrey deep. Which was also alarming; why did she care so much. Maybe she was just simply at the point that she was so far down that she couldn’t help it. Her parents had really ruined her. Although she was still waiting and wanting to see how this went. She didn’t understand the brown hair man in front of her. The more things he did, the more he shocked her and the more she wanted to see how this would play out.
At that point she couldn’t help but smile. “Yes” was all she could muster up. Even at that point she was still flabbergasted that he was still talking to her. It was more than strange and even this Lestrange couldn’t figure it out. Oh dear, if she didn’t wrap her head around this right away she was going to loose it. Seriously loose it. Why didn’t he run? Was it possible that he actually believed her. Well that would be refreshing. Some people didn’t think a leopard could change it’s spots. Although Audrey always tried and maybe she was succeeding. Just because she was what she was didn’t mean she couldn’t make her own name for herself. A different name than the one that was given to her.
When he announced her was going to stay; she looked to him sharply. A smile did finally cover her face and did reach her eyes. Those fake little smiles early hadn’t been nearly as convincing as this one. “That is very refreshing to hear” Audrey remarked in a soft voice. Actually she was still taken back and was happy to hear that. Not much could maker her happier at the current moment. A laugh escaped as he asked if she played quidditch. Again; boys and their quidditch. In truth Addy didn’t hate the sport but it wasn’t really the thing she liked to do. “Actually no; unfortunatly I’ve never been on for flying. Haven’t had the training” Audrey said while rolling her shoulders. “Obviously you did; but do you still enjoy the sport” she asked being polite. After all he had stayed; she could continue with the conversation.[/
