It was rare that anyone would venture near this area of the castle grounds. Arguably, it was the only thing that had stayed the same over these changed years. People hadn’t wanted to visit this particular area for as long as she could recall. Her mother and father had told her similar accounts, of people avoiding the tree as much as possible. It wasn’t a particularly attractive area from an outsider’s perspective, but it held certain magnetism Izabella. She couldn’t think of another place in the castle that could claim to be as deserted as often as this bare spot. It was for this very reason, that she regularly visited the area, perhaps even one of the key areas that one could expect to find her. She had always had issues with vast numbers of people surrounding her and feeling as though she wasn’t able to move – one might even say she was quite claustrophobic. Which probably would have probably have been a correct assumptions being that as a child she had been locked in a closet and had never really got over her fear of small spaces. On this occasion, her reason for visiting the infamous tree was confusing even her. She didn’t really have an actual reason more that on waking up she had decided to leave the school in search of a quieter atmosphere. Students were seriously irritating with their constant chatter at this early time of the day. But then, she always found anyone to be annoying at this time in the morning. On this specific morning, she had found the castle to be rather dull and had therefore resolved to find somewhere that caused a limited amount of interest. The problem being that after spending seven years studying in the school and now teaching in the school, she had been to most areas and none of them had been especially exciting.
Having made the decision to wander vaguely in the direction of the infamous tree, she realized she might have made a small misjudgment in his chosen attire. At this early hour, it was still cold and holding onto the previous night’s cool temperatures. Dressed simply in her usual style of clothing at work, of her black robes, black slakes and today a bright yellow shirt, it was colder than she had predicted it would be. Still, she acted as though he couldn’t feel the cold temperatures, although a small shiver crept up the back of her spine, as she continued in the direction of the isolated vicinity.
Reaching her intended destination, she examined the area before standing back for a few minutes, watching the castle. It looked different in the early morning hours than its grand stature in the afternoons and evenings. Glancing back at the tree again, she allowed herself a few minutes to think about what she was doing before she reached a conclusion. It wasn’t a momentous decision, just relating to her movements. Now, that she was here she decided that she might as well meditate for a while, in the few moments of silence she would have without students constant chatter. Taking a few steps towards the tree itself, once satisfied, she turned and seated herself nearby, yet not directly underneath the tree. She might have been odd in her choice of destinations, but she wasn’t stupid enough to sit directly under a potentially violent tree.

And it wasn’t because of the stories her parents use to tell her when she was a kid. Stories of a tree that moves and that would bring harm to anyone it thought were a threat. This was everyone that went near it. But in times that she wanted to get away from the nose and the crowed halls. This was one of the places she would go. Ever since she was a student with in the school herself. If she needed a quiet place to study, and the library was too crowded. Candice Isabella St. Claire would find herself wandering down to the Whomping willow and study. She wouldn’t dare to still too close to the deadly tree. But she would sit close enough that she was out of harms way. Yet in a piece stop for her to study.
Today though, Candice was wandering down to the tree to think. It wasn’t like she had planned to make her way down there. It was just the way she was going. She was thinking about how her first class was going to go and how she w as going to plan it out. Sure she had her lesson plans all ready to go. But when has a first lesson gone the way that you wanted it to? For all the classes this young professor as taught, not many of them have gone the way she has planned them. But that is ok in her mind. Classes are spouse to mess up sometimes.
Making her way down towards the tree. She gently ran her fingers through her hair as she thought. Things weren’t going to work out the way that she wanted them to if she couldn’t work out how she was going to plan her first class. And she knew that she couldn’t wing it as that never works with her. She has tired it once before and the class ended up talking about all different things. But not the things that they were spouse to be learning. But trial and error always worked when you think about it. Right?
Looking around as she made her way closer to the tree. She slightly turned her head and looked up at the castle. It all its glory and pride. Only the people inside knew what was going on with in the walls. As standing out here. It was piece and quiet. Nothing was moving and there was no chatter of students asking each other what class they had first or what they did during there summer. Candice turned back around and looked at the Willow and sighed. You could never tell just by looking at the tree, how dangerous it truly was. If you didn’t now what tree it was. You would think that it was just an old willow tree. Slightly closing her eyes. She took another step forward and accidently stood on a twig. Looking up, she noticed that there was someone else by the willow.
Recoginsing the girl by face, but she couldn’t remember her name. That was something that Candice had troubles with sometimes. But she had seen her around the castle and knew that she was a professor. “Sorry if I disturbed you,” she said as she looked at her fellow professor, who seemed to be meditating.

((I'm sorry this is not very long, I been sick so my ideas for post haven't been very good lately. The next one will make up for it though.)) Having made the decision to leave the castle in search of some time alone, her plan didn’t seem to be going as swimmingly as she had anticipated. She glanced towards the girl that had suddenly appeared; a small look of surprise crossed his usual blank features as she realized who this person was. This intruder. Preventing her from having her desired time alone. She rolled her eyes slightly, to herself as the professor approached, choosing to let her believe she had not seen her yet and give her the option to just walk on past. It didn’t seem like she was going to just continue on though unlike most of the people that waked this part of the castle. She could see that this was going to be the end of her chance to find the peace she had wanted.
As soon as her fellow professor spoke up she opened her eyes as if just coming out of her meditation instead of having known she had spotted the Professor all ready. Deciding that she might as well give up the idea for a peaceful afternoon alone, she figured she might as well be friendly. She ran a hand through her golden hair, facing the professor for the first time since her unexpected arrival. “My dear Professor Candice“she acknowledged briefly with could have been a rather blank expression, not entirely uncommon of her. Then seeming to warm a little she smiled and said. “Don’t worry your not disturbing me. I just came out for some peace and quite but I don’t mind company.”
"Here you can sit if you'd like. I get a bit of a stiff neck looking looking that far up." she said her eyes lighting up now as she spoke. She actually would rather spend time chatting with someone than being alone but it took her a while to switch moods from being a loner to cheerful company. "By the way we were never formally introduced I don't think I'm Izabella River. I'm the Transfiguration Professor." she said grinning as the branches of the Whomping Willow began to swirl about trying to reach her. But she was just out of reach which only seemed to make it swirl more.
