Hello and welcome to Defense Against the Dark Arts. If you are new to my class then I highly recommend you read this. In this class you will learn a variety of techniques that will help you defend yourself against the Dark Arts and it is up to you to take from it what you will. With my knowledge of this field I can teach you enough magic to be a great witch or wizard out in the real world, the only thing I ask is for you to cooperate with me. I have a few rules that I expect everyone to abide by, they are as followed:
1. No one will be tardy to my class. As soon as it is time to start class, the door is shut and locked and you will not be able to make up that days lesson without an excuse from the hospital wing, no exceptions.
2. Talking while I am talking is automatic means for punishment, depending on my mood it can range from points being taken away to detention, and yes I can do that.
3. No talking while I am talking.
4. Argue with me, I dare you.
5. Some people like to question the way I run things, don't do it. If you do not like the way I treat you, guess who cares? No one. The Headmaster has never once disagreed with me on anything, and he will not change that for you, so if you think you are being treated unfairly, save me the trouble and keep it to yourself.
6. All papers must be headed as followed:
Name:
House:
Year:
Failure to do this simple task will result in a zero, no questions.
7. Late homework will only be accepted with an excuse.
8. Cheating is grounds for getting a zero on the rest of the lessons you turn in. Again, yes I can do that.
Following of these simple directions will results in a good grade for my class. I do not ask much, I only ask that you follow the rules.
